The Saturday session is pleased to present an outstanding collection of European decorative arts, antique furnishings, jewelry and home décor. From a prominent private consignor is an impressive collection of French, Italian, Russian, Austrian, German and Asian antiques in Bronze, Sévres porcelain, crystal and marble with sculptures, candelabras, jewel caskets, centerpieces, portrait plates and mirrors. The sale begins with a lovely selection by Tiffany Studios, New York including a bronze fleur de lis candle stand, a pair of tall candlesticks – as well as bronze desk accessories in the Zodiac and Abalone patterns. Fine Arts include works by Alfred M. Turner, Benjamin E. Fiche, Mary Darter Coleman, Hughie Lee-Smith, Edward Mitchell Bannister and a selection of graphics by Leroy Neiman. Fine Lighting makes a statement at our Saturday sale with an eclectic collection of chandeliers, many in mansion size. Highlighted is an impressive Waterford Crystal Chandelier formerly from the Alfred Glancy home, as well as a colossal carved wood and leather chandelier in the form of deer heads and a chandelier formerly hanging at the J. L. Hudson flagship Department store. Also of interest is a Steinway baby grand piano; a whimsical sterling hollowware sculpture by Samuel Boyce Landeck of Puss in Boots; and unique decorative arts by Moorcroft, Rookwood, Murano, Cartier, Lalique, Steuben, Waterford and French Majolica. Fine jewelry includes a 3.02ct (GIA) Platinum 18kt Gold Men’s Ring , a Rolex Oyster Perpetual 18kt Men’s Wrist Watch and a 2.5ct Diamond and 24ct Natural Gemstone Tennis Bracelet with ruby, emerald aquamarine, amethyst, orange sapphire and garnet. Rounding out the sale is a lovely selection of Persian silk and wool rugs.
