Prehistoric and Historic Artifact Auction

We are very pleased to offer a fine selection of artifacts from the personal collection of Gilbert Cooper. Many of you know Gilbert and Debbie as the publishers of the PAQ (Prehistoric Antiquities). Gilbert has collected artifacts for over 30 years and decided its time to thin down his personal collection. Over the years, Gilbert has been involved in the acquisition of many notable artifacts collections, often keeping some of the finer pieces. Those who have visited Gilbert's relic room know that he enjoyed collecting artifacts from noted old collections. His collection includes many fine pieces once owned by Meuser, Townsend, Hathcock, Stroud, Pipes and others. Many of his artifacts are published in old books and journals. In this sale, you'll find Knoblock's Double Crescent Bannerstone, Hathcock's Bear Effigy Bottle, a Dr. Kramer Dovetail and much more. This sale also includes a nice selection of artifacts from the Dale and Betty Roberts Collection. These relics are also well documented, collector quality artifacts. Rounding out the sales is a fine selection of Caddo and Mississippian pottery, much of it coming from the Kevin Farmer and Jack Bonds collections (many of the Caddo pieces are pictured in Art of the Ancient Caddo). A wonderfully diverse auction. Don't miss this opportunity to a few nice artifacts to your collection.
