In August Michaan's offers works of fine art from the Renaissance to the present. Tie Feng Jiang, Roy de Forest, George Bellows and Rufino Tamayo are among the featured 20th century artists. Sculptures include Benjamino Bufano's bronze "Snail." Highlights in jewelry: diamonds and peridots, jade and coral, vintage Rolex watches and a fabulous necklace by Surrealist artist and designer Eric de Kolb. A Yuhuchun openwork vase and an "oil spot" tea bowl are among the Chinese porcelains from a distinguished private collection. Fine textiles from Europe include Fortuny gowns and a 17th Century Flemish tapestry with an allegorical theme. A jade green Sandwich glass lamp is offered from the collections of the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco.
