shipping is on you and your responsibility
It is up to you to find a trustworthy shipper from the lists provided by Michaans site. They all will charge inflated fees for pick up and packing. A small women's ring cost us over $1oo to have it delivered USPS to our home. Find a reasonable and reliable shipping option before you make a purchase..........

Well run auction house
Although I live locally and was able to pick up the item in person, I did not have an opportunity to attend a pre-view of the auction. Fortunately, the photos and description were 100 % accurate, and I would purchase from them again and recommend them to others. Overall, I had a positive experience with Michaan's Auctions.

Review the shipping procedures before bidding
The sale of the item was great. I checked out with my phone and as such there was no way to select live auctioneers to ship my product. Therefore I had to 'go' outside and contact Ann external shipper which was very expensive. Live auctioneers explained to me their shipping option is only available when using a PC, rather than a phone. I did email live auctioneers about changing my shipping. At first they said they couldn't do any changes. Then 12 or so days later after my ite shipped, LA said eh, the time has expired to make any changes. Anyway I paid 170 to ship my 500 dollar item. Not good. Read the shipping process very carefully if you wish to use michaan's/live auctioneers.

Wonderful auction house!
I've been buying from Michaan's for more than 20 years, and selling with them as well. They have always been great to deal with-friendly, professional and helpful. Can't recommend them more highly.

Not Interested in Helping Customer
purchased a jewelry sized item and they would not ship in-house. Used a shipper I have used before and there was an issue over the price of shipping. Contacted auction house to let them know about the issue and they did not want to hear about it and did not want to be involved in anyway. They would not take any constructive criticism about offering to ship jewelry sized items in house. terrible customer service and would highly recommend getting shipping quotes in writing in advance or just not doing business with this auction house at all. I have done business with every auction house everywhere and this is one of the worst.

We are more than happy to take constructive criticism, but we will not stand to have a client act rude and berate our staff the way you did today. When you called, you were immediately rude and yelled at each employee you spoke with. We completely understand being upset with a change in shipping price, but the company you hired to ship your property is who you have the issue with not us. We did not change your shipping price, your shipping company did. Instead of waiting to hear from them, you chose to call up the auction house who did nothing wrong, and berate us for something that was completely out of our control. We are completely transparent in how our auctions work, and we clearly state in our Conditions of Sale that we do not have an in-house shipping department, and it is the buyers responsibility to arrange shipment of their items. We even sent a direct message to you after approving your registration that explicitly states this fact. You were very aware that we do not have a shipping department, but you chose to bid with our auction house anyway. I'm sorry you felt that you received terrible customer service, but I do not know anyone that would be spoken to the way you spoke to us today and be receptive to what you were saying. Being abrasive and rude is not the way to get across a suggestion. We wish you happy bidding with all the other auction houses as we will not be approving your registration in the future.
