Prehistoric and Historic Artifact Auction

A fine offering of artifacts with many being from the Dr. Charles Gish Collection. Bannerstones, Axes and Birdstones from the Gary Cuckler Collection are featured in the sale including Clem Caldwell's Porphyry Birdstone and a Quartz Hourglass displayed at the Trader and Trapper Museum in Missouri for decades. There is a particularly fine grouping of relics once in the old Gilbert Dilley Collection in this sale. One of the finest Geniculate Bannerstones ever found (Dilley, Townsend, Burdette) will be sold. A special group of ancient stone tools from all over the world were consigned to this auction from the Robert Bourden Collection. Rounding out the sale is a nice variety of artifacts from a New Hampshire collector. In addition to those already mentioned, sale highlights include a 9" Hixton Hopewell Spear (Bickel, McCorkle), a published Frog Pipe collected by Meuser and Bunch, and a large fine Clovis once cabineted by Willis Tilton. Last, but not least, two Cloud Blower Pipes (one highly engraved) were a special consignment to this sale. Don't miss this opportunity to add a fine relic or two to you collection.
