Buyers are responsible for making arrangements and costs of shipping. We Do Not Ship In-House. We are only responsible for transferring the item(s) to your shipper in the same condition as sold at auction. For your convenience, shippers are listed below.

Local pickups can be arranged by advance appointment only. You need to supply your own packing materials, and persons for carrying, lifting, loading, or moving of purchases.
PAYMENT
Accepted Payment Methods:
money orders, cashier's checks, personal checks, visa, master charge, discover, american express, wire transfer.Payment for purchases is due upon receipt of invoice. All items won must be paid for within 7 business days unless prior arrangements have been made with Maxwell's Auctions, or a dispute will be filed with the bidding platform. When a dispute is filed, claims to unpaid items are void, and the auction house may resell.

TERMS
By bidding you are agreeing to the following terms:
1. All lots or items in the auction are sold As Is, Where Is, With All Faults, No Refunds, No Returns, and Without Recourse. Maxwell's Auctions is not responsible for the absolute accuracy of lot titles, descriptions, photographs or statements of condition. We provide our best informed opinions of items' quality, genuineness, authenticity, age, period, culture, source, origin, artist, manufacturer, attribution, and provenance. All measurements are approximate to size and weight.
2. Bidders may contact the auction house with requests for more detailed reports. It is advised that you allow at least 48 hours or more prior to the beginning of the auction to allow us time to service your request.
3. All invoice totals of $1,000.00 or greater must be paid by Wire Transfer, Cashier Check or Certified Check. Wire Transfers may incur additional bank fees, please inquire ahead of auction.
4. No auction lot will be released until full payment is made and cleared. Purchases paid for by checks, or money orders will be held 10 days or until cleared.
4.a. International Bidders are required to pay by wire transfer.
5. The purchase price payable by the buyer is the Auctioneer's Hammer Price or Final Bid plus a Buyer's Premium of 25%.
6. All items must be removed or have shipping arranged within 14 business days following the auction date. There is a storage fee of $10 per lot per day unless prior arrangements have been made with the auction house and agreed to in writing. If the storage fees accrue higher than the selling price, the auction house may reclaim title to the stored property. Maxwell's Auctions will not be held responsible for loss or damage to items left with us after 14 business days. After 30 days, any remaining items, paid or unpaid, will be considered abandoned, and Maxwell's Auctions reserves the right to resell the items.
7. All purchases must be shipped to the address on file with your payment details. We will not release lots to shippers without a previously confirmed address.
8. Maxwell's Auctions may set reserves, or minimum selling prices set on lots in our auction to protect our consignors.
9. Our Auction Estimates are opinions based on our knowledge of the marketplace. These are not concrete facts nor warrantied values for the items.
10. Buyers must rely on their own experience, knowledge and opinions of authenticity, condition, and value. If you are uncertain of an auction lot, please refrain from bidding. Your bid is a contract to buy.
11. Connecticut Sales Tax of 6.35% is charged unless the buyer holds a valid Connecticut or other state's resale certificate. Please supply completed resale certificates prior to the time of purchase. We do not collect Sales Tax on items shipped out of state.
12. Maxwell's Auctions is not responsible for shipping. Bidders are encouraged to get shipping quotes before bidding. We are not liable for the acts or omissions of carriers or packers of purchased lots whether or not recommended by us. We will transfer goods in auction sold condition to your chosen shipper and take no liability for loss or damage once goods are in their hands.
13. The auction house is not responsible for any omission or errors in the description or any verbal descriptions given before or following the auction.
14. Maxwell's Auctions reserves the right to withdraw lots prior to the commencement of the auction.
15. Maxwell's Auctions reserves the right to bidder approval or refusal based on bidder registration and history on the Liveauctioneers website.
