Prehistoric and Historic Artifact Auction

We are pleased to present the second and final portion of the late Doug Underwood Collection. Many of you will recognize Doug from artifact shows and gatherings. He attended shows with this wife Vivian all over the Midwest. Doug began collecting in 1981 and put together a very fine collection. His artifact log reads like a Who's Who of good old collections and collectors. This sale contains a superb group of Dovetails, Hardins and Lost Lakes. Vivian is pleased that Doug's artifacts are being offered back to the artifact collecting community. Don't miss this final opportunity. We are also very pleased to offer the first group of the "Best of the Cuckler Collection". Over 25 years in the making, the Gary Cuckler Collection is comprised of some of the finest artifacts ever found. Gary has decided to return the remainder of his artifact collection to the collecting community. These will be the final dispersals of this large, significant collection. Gary?s fine Bannerstones, Birdstones, Axes and Pipes will anchor each of our first three auctions of 2021. I know of no other assemblage of Bannerstones that surpasses the quality and presentation of the Cuckler Bannerstones. In Memoriam Gary Cuckler passed away unexpectedly during the publication of this catalog. I have fond memories of visiting Gary at his idyllic home in rural Iowa. His relic room was the most comfortable of all the relic rooms I?ve visited over the past 25 years - largely because Gary made you feel that way. Gary amassed what will be remembered as one of the finest artifact collections in recent history. His hospitality, friendship and astute observations about relics will be missed. Tony
