CONDITIONS OF SALE All lots are sold to the highest bidder AS IS WHERE IS. Live on floor bidders will take precedence over online bidders if the amount bid is the same. All items offered online will have a minimum starting bid as displayed on the online catalogue. Online bids lower than minimum will not be accepted. All prospective bidders are advised to inspect each lot they wish to bid on and to satisfy themselves as to the description, authenticity, overall condition of each lot and to bid accordingly. All lots are sold AS IS WHERE IS, with no guarantees. Catalogue descriptions and auctioneers statements are opinion only, with no warranty implied. All items are sold as genuine articles with no reproductions or copies knowingly being offered. Descriptions are given to the best of our ability and knowledge regarding condition or vintage. That being said, each bidder must accept his or her own judgment regarding condition & authenticity of each item. All pieces are sold AS IS WHERE IS, NO RETURNS OR REFUNDS. Online bidders can pay by Check, Visa or MasterCard only. No Pay Pal or Western Union, no exceptions. BUYERS PREMIUM: All items sold online are subject to a buyers premium of fifteen percent. Sales Tax: All items sold to Canadian Bidders are subject to Ontario sales tax of 8% plus GST of 5%. Ontario bidders with sales tax exemption numbers who wish to bid must forward to our office at Fax 613 722-2144 your Ontario tax exception number on the appropriate government form at least 24 hours prior to commencement of Auction sale. If you are a dealer and do not submit your tax number, all taxes will be collected, no exceptions. American bidders: Provided items are shipped directly to the USA from our auction facilities, no taxes are applicable. SHIPPING: Buyer Pays Shipping Cost. As a convenience to BUYERS, Michael Spooner & Son Auctions Inc. will transport items to a 3rd party shipper for packaging & shipping: UPS, Puralator, Fed EX or Canada Post. Your shipping total will be the sum of actual shipping, packaging, insurance and handling fee. Handling fee as follows: Five dollar handling fee for small lots & a Ten dollar handling fee for larger lots. Once your item(s) are shipped, your credit card will be charged actual shipping total plus the handling fees. All Duties, Import Tariffs & Taxes are the responsibility of the Buyer. All Buyers who purchase furniture must make their own shipping arrangements. Storage & local delivery is available for a fee. If your item(s) are damaged or lost in shipping, you will need to contact the shipper to file a claim.
