Terms and Conditions All Internet bidders must read and agree to the following conditions of sale. 1. You must register at least 24 hours prior to the start of the promotion to participate. 2. 20% buyer's premium on all online purchases. 3. We provide in-house shipping and packaging. Due to quality control issues, we do not ship to third party shippers. Buyers may request a shipping quote (estimate) prior to the auction.4. The absence of a condition note in the lot description does not mean the item is in perfect condition. All items are sold as is and will not be returned under condition.5. The registered bidder assumes all personal responsibility for payment of the purchase price, including the buyer's insurance premium and all applicable taxes, and all other applicable fees, unless expressly agreed in writing with Star Auctions prior to the commencement of the sale, that the bidder is acting as agent on behalf of an identified third party acceptable to Star Auctions, and that Star Auctions will only pay the The auctioneer reserves the right to repossess any property prior to sale and will not be liable for repossession.7. The auctioneer reserves the right to reject any bids. If the lot has a minimum reserve price, the auctioneer may bid up to the reserve price on behalf of the buyer. If the Buyer does not comply with any of the applicable conditions herein, in addition to other remedies available to Auctioneer and Consignor as provided by law, including but not limited to the right to hold the Buyer liable for the total purchase price, Auctioneer may, at its option (a) cancel the sale and retain all payments as liquidated damages (including deposits) to be paid by Buyer or (b) resell the property at private or public auction without reservation, in either case Buyer will be liable for any shortfall in the purchase price and all costs and expenses, including: storage fees, handling fees, sales charges and sales commissions at Auctioneer's normal rates, all other expenses payable, including attorneys' fees and incidental damages. In addition, the defaulting Buyer shall be deemed to have granted to Auctioneer a security interest which Auctioneer may retain as collateral security for such Buyer's obligation to use any property in Auctioneer's possession owned by such Buyer.9. Auctioneer assumes the execution of absentee bids for the convenience of its customers and shall not be liable for failure to execute bids or for any errors in the execution of bids.10. The Buyer's sole and exclusive remedy is to cancel the sale and refund of the original purchase price plus any Buyer's premium and in lieu of any other remedy that may be available at law or in equity. auctioneer and consignor shall not be liable for any incidental or consequential damages that occur. -Payment - *Needs immediate payment* A 15% buyer's premium is added to the hammer price of each item sold for live Internet buyers. We will only accept payment via Paypal or bank wire transfer. Payments via irrevocable wire transfer will incur a processing fee. Credit cards are not accepted and for PayPal users, a surcharge will apply. All property must be paid for within 7 (seven) days. Any invoice not paid within 20 (twenty) business days will be considered unpaid. In the event of non-payment, faulty lots may be resold or returned to the owner. - Lot Conditions- All items are sold as is and will not be returned based on condition. Items sold are usually quite old and subject to wear, use and damage, but these items are not usually listed in catalog entries. The absence of a condition note in the lot description does not mean that the item is in perfect condition. In all cases, it is the responsibility of the prospective buyer to determine the actual condition of the lot. Condition reports are available upon request (send an email to jack8rees@gmail.com). Therefore, if a potential bidder has not satisfactorily inspected the property prior to sale, or if his/her agent has not inspected the property, Star Auctions recommends that they do not bid on the property. -Condition Report- Please note that Star Auctions is happy to provide our opinion of the condition of items for sale upon request. This service is for informational purposes only and does not create a legal obligation. We are not professional conservators or restorers and therefore cannot guarantee the contents of a written condition report. Subsequently, if a prospective buyer has not inspected the property prior to sale, or if his/her agent has not inspected the property, Star Auctions advises them not to bid on the property. Notwithstanding this condition report, all lots are offered and sold as is and will not be returned in accordance with the listed "Conditions of Sale" based on condition. - Shipping and/or Removal of Property - Shipping costs are included in your invoice and are calculated to the address listed on the invoice. Please indicate any special shipping instructions or different shipping address immediately after the auction. Shipping prices include only insurance (optional), shipping costs, and any physical materials consumed during packing and shipping. (For international shipments, the buyer is responsible for all duties, taxes and duties, which are not included in the shipping price). Star Auctions will not charge additional fees other than those listed above. Postal service (Fedex) is preferred for international shipping. DHL, China Post Express, etc. Please contact immediately after the auction. 4-6 weeks after payment. Please note that trade in ivory products, regardless of age, is strictly prohibited in China. Star Auctions will not sell or ship any ivory items. If items need to be stored for more than 30 days, a storage fee of no more than $10/day per lot may be charged. Buyer agrees that after 60 days from the auction date, if the item purchased is not removed or otherwise arranged without written authorization from Star Auctions personnel, the item will be sold at auction with no reserve. All notices, advertising, commissions, sales and additional storage fees of $10.00 per day per lot will be assessed based on the proceeds of the sale. Resale of items and any funds remaining after payment of auction and storage fees will be distributed as required by law. In no event shall any item be returned from the date of delivery. No returns will be made under the conditions.
