We are pleased to offer the Frances White Estate Collection, one of the premier pueblo pottery collections to ever come to market, with over 40 important pueblo pots, thirteen Tony Da pieces including rare examples of red and sienna, Maria Martinez / Popovi Da jars, and jewelry by Charles Loloma and Jesse Monongya.
The auction is steeped with important historic and contemporary Native American and Hispanic arts, including works by Kenneth Begay, Lawrence Saufkie, Lee Yazzie, pictorial weavings, Germantown Eyedazzler weavings, Plains beadwork, old pawn jewelry, historic pueblo pottery, Nampeyo pottery, a Yokuts Friendship basket, Helen Cordero Storyteller, and two Wilson Tawaquaptewa Kachina dolls.
A partial list of artists includes Maynard Dixon (3), Ed Mell (2), Buck Dunton (3), Joe Beeler, Charlie Russell, Teal Blake, Edward Borein, Albert Looking Elk, Fritz Scholder, Robert Wood, Gary Ernest Smith, Susan Kliewer, Pete Nisbet, Mary?Russell Ferrell Colton, Edward Curtis and a fresh to the market Gustave Baumann woodblock, ?Palo Verde and Ocotea.? A major 1920s painting by Mordovia painter Fedor Sychkov is one of the highlights of the auction.
