Big Fall Phoenix Auction 2011 - Session 2

This year we have accumulated pieces from several quality private collections, including the Dockstater Estate. We have the best collection of NW Coast carvings we've ever had including masks, rattles, a 7' totem pole, and more. We have also acquired some very rare Navajo weavings including an 1870s child's wearing blanket, a late 1800s girl's dress, two Chief's blankets, Germantowns, and many others. We have many pieces of exceptional beadwork including a Sioux beaded saddle drape, several bandolier bags, old dolls, historic moccasins and bags, a published toy cradleboard collection, and much more. We also have a wonderful selection of jewelry including many Old Pawn pieces, choice turquoise, squashes, bracelets, rings, and a Loloma buckle and earrings, plus baskets and more baskets, including rare examples from California, the NW Coast, Southwest, and all other regions. Pottery pieces in this auction include 2 large Margaret Tafoyas, several nice Marias, and many other historic Pueblo and prehistoric pottery pieces, plus a great selection of Katsina dolls, including two 100+ piece sets of carved miniatures used for identification. And as always, original Native and Western art, Eskimo masks and relics, ivory, tradebeads, photos, and more plus many interesting antique and Western collectibles. Over 1000 pieces in all sold in two sessions. You don't want to miss this great event!
