The Saturday auction opens with a unique scale model of the Fisher Body Coach. Rendered from circa 1940 plans, this symbol of one of Detroit's first automobile manufacturers was proudly featured in a Saturday Evening Post ad twenty years later. Following is colorful art glass by Schneider and Steuben; bronze sculptures by Richard Guino and Danny Edwards; as well as French garnitures and a Rambaud bronze-mounted marble urn from the late 19th century. From private collections: Sevres cabinet plates; Georg Jensen Acorn, Wallace Grand Baroque, and National Narcissus sterling flatware sets; porcelain dinner services by Rosenthal and Herend; Henredon and Baker mahogany furniture; fine jewelry by David Yurman, Lagos, and SeidenGang; and a variety of oriental rugs from semi antique to modern. Also featuring The Dr. Ferdinand Mauser Collection of Asian Art Objects, 14th-19th century; and property from the estate of a fashionable West Bloomfield collector including Chanel couture and jewelry, Hermes silk scarves, Prada, Gucci and Fendi bags, Judith Leiber accessories, mink furs, Louis Vuitton luggage, a Charles & Ray Eames for Herman Miller lounge chair with ottoman and a Mario Bellini for Cassina leather cab chair.
