NATIVE ARTS - Session 3

Santa Fe Art Auction?s February 9-11 sale of Native Art features more than 600 lots in three sessions of historic and contemporary Indigenous art, including paintings, pottery, textiles, jewelry and basketry. Highlights include the remarkable Charles and Georgia Loloma collection of Hopi basketry, spanning five decades, as well as Native jewelry from the Lolomas? own collection. The sale also features fine historic pueblo pottery, including a rich offering of collectible work by Maria Martinez and her family. The contemporary pottery includes several important works by Tony Da as well as pieces by Al Qoyawayma. Highlights of the contemporary Native art selections include paintings by TC Cannon, Fritz Scholder, Frank Howell, Tony Abeyta and Dan Namingha and beadwork by Jamie Okuma and Sandra Okuma. There are also beautiful examples of historic and contemporary Navajo textiles.
