Art Nouveau - Art Deco

The auction week in June begins with a careful selection of Art Nouveau and Art Deco objects. The works of Daum Frères dominate the glass chapter in terms of quality and quantity. Almost one hundred lots from the famous glass factory will be offered in the auction on Tuesday afternoon. Hungarian ceramist Vilmos Zsolnay is represented with seven top-class works with different decorations in Eosin glaze. Particularly interesting works await those interested in the figurative metal and bronze selection. An absolute rarity will also be offered in the furniture section of the auction. The wonderful chest made of cast bronze and carved walnut wood was the result of a collaboration between Emile Gallé and Tokuzo Takashima (1850-1931). These and other special pieces can be found in the Art Nouveau section of the catalog.
