International Design

350 design objects from the last 100 years of design history will be presented in the June auction. Exciting objects can be found in the field of Italian design. From a private Venetian collection comes the rocking lounger 'Dondolo'. German design is well represented. The 'Ju-Yon', 'Ju-Ku' and 'San-Ju' ceiling lights by Munich-based light artist Ingo Maurer consist of 14, 19 and 30 rice paper fans respectively. The Austro-Hungarian architect and visual artist Friedrich Kiesler designed his Correalist furniture for Peggy Guggenheim's "Art of this Century Gallery" in New York in 1942. Design from Finland represents a private collection of handicrafts by Bertel Gardberg. Furthermore, objects by Jean Boris Lacroix, Angelo Lelli and Paavo Tynell are on offer that will make collectors' hearts beat faster.
