Winter World Treasures - Day One

Featuring the Lt. Col. Robert Earl Kelso (1930-2024) and Betty Stieren Kelso (1932-2017) estate collection, San Antonio, Texas. Featuring Russian icons, Russian historical and decorative arts as well as Asian works. Including over 200 Russian icons from the Kelso estate as well as two important private American collections, containing many exceptional examples with silver and enameled oklads. Additionally, a small but good selection of Russian paintings including six works by Leon Gaspard, and other paintings by Nikolai Fechin, Vasnetsov, Kuznetsov, Grigoriev and others. This sale also features a good group of historical Russian Imperial signed documents as well as Russian decorative arts including works by Faberge, Ovchinnikov and others. Asian works include a fine 17th century Chinese carved libation cup, carved jade and Chinese and Japanese carvings.
