Freeman’s | Hindman is proud to present Selections from The Millhiser Collection of Fine Americana on January 27 in New York City. Bessie and E. Ross Millhiser, early collectors, purchased fine examples of Philadelphia, Newport, Boston and Southern Queen Anne and Chippendale furniture from eminent dealers, Israel Sack, Joseph Kindig and Ginsburg & Levy in the 1930s and 1940s. Highlights include a rare set of six Boston Queen Anne walnut compass-seat side chairs, a Philadelphia Chippendale carved walnut dressing table, and a Bertie County, North Carolina butternut tall chest, dated 1797.
