Masterpieces and Marvels

This auction includes a wide variety of fine arts, with works by J.N. Sartorius, John Mackie, Thomas McNickle, and more. Two notable prints by Charles William Bartlett are the highlight of the fine arts section: "Hawaiian Fisherman" and "Fishing in Hawaii".

A spectacular selection of Indigenous and First Nations artwork is included in this auction. Pieces by Haida artist Christian White will be on offer, including a carved Argillite stone box titled "Sky Chief?s Box". A monumental bronze totem pole titled "The Chief's Staff (The Spirit of Haida Gwaii)" by Haida artist Bill Reid highlights the selection.

Featured in this auction are a selection of classic mechanical slot machines. Included are two Caille Bros. stimulators with stands, a Caille Bros. New Century Detroit slot machine, a Mills Novelty Co. "The Judge" slot machine, and the New Century Musical "Puck" slot machine. Two peep show games by Regent and Cail-O-Scope will be on offer, alongside a framed collection of hand-painted peep show advertisements.

A collection of vintage carousel memorabilia highlights this nostalgic auction. Herschell-Spillman carousel panels and chariot panel start off the selection. On offer are stunning carousel horses, including a Palomino painted carousel horse from Belmont Park in San Diego, California, a carved natural wood carousel horse, a carved wood carousel horse by M.C. Illions, and a wonderful Dentzel hand-painted carved wood carousel rabbit. Two exceptional carved wood cigar store Indians attributed to Julius Melchers and Thomas Brooks complete this significant collection of items.

The piece de resistance of our Masterpieces and Marvels auction is a one-of-a-kind stained glass window by Tiffany. The "Palm Leaf with Crown" window also known as the "Jacob Perley" window is a gorgeous display of vibrant blues, greens, and yellows with a three-dimensional crown all encased in a custom wood display with backlight.
