The DeCoster Collection

On April 16th, Toomey & Co. and Rago are pleased to present The DeCoster Collection: Arts & Crafts from a Grosse Pointe Cottage, with over 150 historic works. Detroit native Dennis DeCoster was a longtime interior designer for General Motors who became enamored with the Arts & Crafts Movement and decorated his Grosse Pointe Farms cottage with fine period examples. Both within the residence and throughout its elaborate exterior garden, Dennis exhibited a keen eye for detail and created delightful arrangements. Included in this offering are impressive lamps by George H. Trautmann, Dirk van Erp, Fulper Pottery, Tiffany Studios and Rookwood Pottery, lighting and furniture from Gustav Stickley, an array of Pewabic Pottery, and much more.
