Art Jewelry & Jewels
The summer auctions conclude with a diverse selection of jewelry. Over 150 items of conceptual art and studio jewelry, high-carat gems, coveted wristwatches and vintage accessories await you on July 3, 2025.
Works by Georges Braque, Claude Lalanne and Karel Appel show that jewelry and fine art have always existed in symbiosis. Inspired by the mythological tales in Ovid's Metamorphoses, Braque created numerous motifs in his late work, which were translated into gouaches, sculptures and pieces of jewelry - the latter executed by the jeweler Heger de L?wenfeld.
The art and studio jewelry section features brooches with poetic material combinations that will definitely become conversation pieces on lapels.
Not all goldsmiths and silversmiths are able to hold their own in the fields of jewelry and utensils. We are therefore all the more pleased to be able to offer three exceptional items by Hermann Juenger and Gerd Rothmann in the auction.
From elegant Art Nouveau designs, such as a floral bracelet by the Augsburg goldsmiths Schmedding (estimate EUR 9,000 - 12,000) to classics by Cartier, such as the Tank bracelets in white gold and yellow gold (estimate EUR 5,000 - 6,000 each) - anyone looking for timeless pieces of jewelry will also find a top-class selection here.
A small chapter is dedicated to vintage accessories and clothing from major fashion houses. Whether Louis Vuitton or Herm?s - suitcases in various sizes are represented here and will be a luxurious travel companion in summer.
