October Collector's Auction

Stefek's upcoming October Collector's Auction will display an exceptional array of fine property spanning centuries of craftsmanship and design.

Furniture highlights of this auction range from classic antiques to icons of mid-century modern design. We will be featuring a monumental Victorian carved oak two-piece cabinet, a lush Queen Anne style tiger maple chest, barrister bookshelves, carved and painted armoires, and more.

Several pieces by designers for Knoll and Herman Miller will be available, including a red "Womb" chair and ottoman by Eero Saarinen, a Florence Knoll teak double dresser, a George Nelson daybed, and four "Bikini" chairs by Charles and Ray Eames. Danish furniture to be included, such as a Skaraborgs Swedish teak desk with chair and a Frem Rojle teak dining table with chairs.

An impressive grouping of Waterford crystal will be on offer. This collection includes designs such as "Lismore," "Kenmare," "Glenmore," "Colleen," and more. Several lots of Hall China?s "Autumn Leaf" china will be available, as well as Royal Copenhagen "Blue Fluted," Mottahedeh "Blue Canton," Lynn Chase "Winter Game Birds Red," and a set of Mintons for Tiffany china.

Curiosities abound in our Collector's Auction - a Tridacna Gigas (Giant Clam) shell, early American glass flasks, and a collection of cobalt glass and medicinal bottles round out the miscellaneous items. A selection of fine fur coats will be on offer, with designers ranging from Loro Piana/Fluerette to Marshall Field's to Zandra Rhodes.
