Prints & Multiples

Freeman's is excited to present our winter session of Prints, Multiples, and Photographs on December 12th featuring strong collections of Contemporary and Modern works as well as a curated session of artwork from the esteemed collection of Dr. Gary W London, Washington, D.C. Among the contemporary session, the sale includes particularly bright Pop examples by Roy Lichtenstein, Andy Warhol, and Tom Wesselmann, works by Frank Stella and Jim Dine, and examples by Sam Gilliam from the estate of William Weege, Gilliam's longtime friend, collaborator, and printer. The Modern offering highlights both European and American masters. In addition to works by Joan Miró, Marc Chagall, Pablo Picasso, and Wassily Kandinsky, there is a strong group of works by Martin Lewis, Thomas Hart Benton, and Howard Cook. In the second half of the sale, Dr. London's keen eye for color is clear across a broad range of twentieth-century movements, brought together through Dr. London's curation. Bringing together artwork from such artists as Wolf Kahn, Anni Albers, Robert Indiana, Dorothea Tanning, and Shepard Fairey, the sale provides the most discerning collector the opportunity to include these storied examples of Modern and Contemporary art to their collection. Please note that our offices will be closed for the holidays beginning December 20, 2025, and will reopen on January 5, 2026. If you need assistance or would like to schedule a pickup before this time, please do not hesitate to reach out.
