Vintage Posters

The annual winter Vintage Poster auction comprises some of the most desirable and seldom seen images across a number of prominent collecting categories. A powerful selection of over 70 American and European ski posters, includes exceptional designs by Emil Cardinaux, Sascha Maurer, Martin Peiket, Roger Broders and many others. There is also strong representation by the foremost Art Nouveau artists from across Europe including, Alphonse Mucha, Jules Chéret, Pal, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, Adolfo Hohenstein, and Marcello Dudovich, as well as an unusual run of horizontal Mather Work incentive posters—all from 1923 when that format was the only one employed by the company. Finally, graphic design by Herbert Bayer, Walter Schnackenberg, Leonetto Cappiello, Achille Mauzan, Charles Loupot and A.M. Cassandre round out the offering.
