19th & 20th Century Art

An eclectic blend of interesting European, American and Latin American paintings, prints and drawings inlcudes the charming "Beach Scene" by the Impressionist Ruth Alice Temple Anderson, leading American Impressionists, while Modernists are represented by works such as Herman Maril's "Patterns." The sale includes several beautiful landscapes, including two watercolors by the British artist Edward James, known for his scenes of Bermuda in the mid-nineteenth century. Paul Signac's lovely "Pont Royal – Matin lilas" depicts a morning along the Seine, while Lyonel Feininger's "The Golden Gate" illustrates a quiet moment along the strait in San Francisco. Important and painterly prints are also included in the sale, including Kees van Dongen's portrait "Le Collier de Perles" and color pochoirs from Pablo Picasso's "Dix Pochoirs" portfolio.
