Early 20th Century Design

On March 18th, Toomey & Co. presents Early 20th Century Design, with important and rare lighting by Ernest A. Batchelder and Douglas Donaldson, William Bryce Mundie for Teco Pottery, and Dirk van Erp, including works from the Collection of Gary Diamond. Art pottery from Teco, Grueby and Marblehead is on offer, plus scenic woodcuts by Edna Boies Hopkins and Frances Gearhart. An early and rare twelve-tile tea table attributed to LaMont A. Warner is one of many fine Stickley designs. Another highlight is an elevator grille from the Chicago Stock Exchange Building by Dankmar Adler and Louis Sullivan. Works by Frank Lloyd Wright are likewise part of the sale. Finally, Chicago silver from the Paul & Terry Somerson Collection is featured, with forms by Falick Novick, Julius Olaf Randahl, the Kalo Shop, and others.
