Antiques, Jewelry, Watches, & Fine Art

Our March 2014 sale is an interesting mix of antiques, decorative items, jewelry, fine wristwatches, paintings, prints, and works on paper. There are watches by Cartier and Roger Dubuis, fine diamond rings, gold boxes, and a wonderful pair of Russian salts retailed by Tiffany & Co. Antiques include fine furniture, glass, porcelain, and Asian items, including a wonderful and rare Green Tara bronze and two very fine blue and white Chinese vases from the Qing Dynasty, each having a six-character mark. The selections of fine art include prints by Chagall, Picasso, Georges Braque, Joan Miro, Max Weber, and Leger, as well as original works by or attributed to Keith Haring, Willem de Kooning, Pablo Picasso, a Jean-Michel Basquiat drawing on cardboard, Robert Motherwell, Roy Lichtenstein, Salvador Dali, and Franz Kline. The highlight of the art portion of the sale may very well be three small charcoal drawings attributed to Claude Monet and purchased from Jean-Jacques Leizer.
