FINE ART, ANTIQUE, FIREARMS & COINS

The sale will include a collection of antique and contemporary firearms, 19th century furniture, coins, jewelry, Chinese works of art, carpets, rugs, mid-century and more. This sale is quite eclectic and should appeal to a broad spectrum of bidders. Furnishings will include a Sheraton bow front chest, Hepplewhite style sideboard, Empire chest and bookcase, Victorian burl walnut server among other 19th century pieces. In the more contemporary vein we will be offering a Bruce Burdick desk/table by Herman Miller, a John Dickinson galvanized steel console table, circa 1974, Swedish design Overman leather chair and ottoman, craftsman made driftwood base low table. Accessories such as lamps will include a striking Gryppo Fontana Arte stainless steel and glass torchiere that soars to 82? in height, an arc floor lamp that ends in a linen shade, pair of designer modern wicker and wrought iron table lamps, industrial design counter balance floor lamp, pair of painted pottery tuxedo lamps and a pair of stacked crystal block for lamps. The highlight of the firearms part of the sale will be a Winchester Model 1886, 50-100-450 caliber lever action sporting rifle, octagon barrel with ivory inlaid site. Winchester only made 331 of these guns and as such considerably rare, so few were produced due to the kick back that often dislocated the user?s shoulder! Others to be sold include Remington model 1889 double hammer lock shotgun, Henri Pieper model 12 gauge x 32-40 caliber side by side shotgun. Handguns will include a Colt single action arm .45 caliber revolver, Smith & Wesson .357 Mag revolver, Kommer model 16 .35 semi-automatic pistol, circa 1920 and several others. An unusual artwork to be offered is a Continental School oil on canvas depicting an exorcism in progress with a man cowering behind the robes of a priest surrounded by demons and other symbols, it is of the late 18th or early 19th century. Several Russian school works are to be offered including a piece of propaganda
