Over nearly five decades, Earl Townsend amassed a collection of prehistoric artifacts unrivaled in the depth of its quality and provenance. This offering includes over sixty well documented Birdstones. It also contains Earl's favorite Turkeytails and his well known Willow Leaf Points. The finest slate Gorgets and Pendants in the Townsend Collection have been held back for this auction. There is something in this auction for every collector. The Townsend Collection is an assemblage of artifacts with excellent provenance and storied histories - skillfully assembled by a man with an extraordinary eye for art.
