McCarter On Premises Estate Auction
Mr. & Mrs. McCarter began collecting in Eastern Tennessee in the mid 1960s to furnish their dream home, a mansion that they were building in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. As with most collectors, the collections took over and there was no room, so they opened an antique shop in the early 1970s, operating it for 5 years, finally retiring, building a lot cabin and moving to Knoxville, Tennessee. They bought both primitive from the Smokey Mountains of Sevier County, Tennessee as well as really good unusual Victorian furniture and accessories. If you like primitive, early things, clocks, baskets, crocks, watches, linens, you are going to be more than happy with this auction. You will want to attend either in person or via the internet. We do not accept PayPal or Credit Cards but we do accept checks which can take up to 20 business days to clear from your bank, money orders which take 7 business days to make sure are not fake, bank drafts, Western Unions, and of course, cash. For the fastest US payment, PopMoney.com is accepted. It can transfer money in the same day from the buyers account to the sellers account. Overseas buyers must use Western Union with no exceptions. Payment is expected to be received within 10 days after the auction date.
Please make sure you have any condition reports necessary prior to Auction time, as once the sale begins, no condition reports will be sent out. Measurements are approximate and may be off by fractional inches, every effort is made to be correct but typos do occur and can be overlooked when proofed.
There are some buyers that have issues that could have been resolved by asking questions before the sale. I want to repeat again, All Sales Final, Everything Is Sold As Is, With No Exceptions. No Refunds Are Given For Any Reasons Whatsoever.
We will be glad to take your purchase to one of several packing stores for you. Most purchasers seem to be pleased with the UPS packing store system. The arrangements for packing and shipping are completely between you and the packer, we are not responsible for any of their actions or charges.
Please ask any questions you may have well in advance of the auction, your interest is appreciated and we want to work with you but on sale day, do not expect condition reports or information as all the staff will be working at the auction.
