The African section includes the Rudolph de Harak collection; a small but highly important group of objects obtained prior to 1968 by the master designer and artist from Kamer, Segy and others with original receipts. Other African offerings are from a private New York collection purchased prior to 1967 from 'The Gallery of African Art' then in the lobby of New York's Hotel Ansonia, from a young aspiring Alfred Sheinberg.
