The Clark Musical Instrument Collection

Lawrence David Clark Jr. was a prominent Manhattan attorney and distinguished alumnus of Harvard University and Harvard Law School. Mr. Clark, a multi-instrumentalist himself possessed a lifelong passion for the creation of music and craftsmanship of musical instruments. Mr. Clarks collection includes both the acquisitions of a discerning collector and cherished discoveries of an accomplished and earnest practitioner. Wherever Lawrence traveled he would visit the local musical instrument store in search of the next treasure for his collection. Lawrence?s love of music included encouraging the future generation of musicians serving on the Board of Trustees of the Professional Children?s School in New York City and influencing his sons Gregory and Timothy to pursue musical instruction. The Clark collection is comprised of over two hundred and fifty musical instruments crossing the auction block on Saturday, February 25th at 12:00pm.
