Very happy with my purchase, it was exactly as described. This auction house always provides numerous photos that capture the item clearly, including photos pointing out any issues or damage. I always feel confident bidding on anything at Westport Auction.

Auction house policy is well disclosed in the fine print, but their storage fees were non-negotiable and excessive for the small dishes I purchased. Given that their warehouse is in a different city than the auction and the small size of the items I purchased, the auction house was not accommodating and buyers should avoid.

Overall, my experience with Westport Auctions was positive, however, the item was in significantly worse condition than described, including the pictures. I was quite shocked when I picked it up in person and the chair had significant repairs to the base, including extensive pitting and rust which weren't clear in the photos, nor the description which described it having normal wear. I'm not against doing business again, but I would request more detailed photos of the item.

Careful with lighting purchases. I got lamps and the wire was literally fraying which was not mentioned. They 100 % need to be rewired to be safe and each lamp has 2 light bulbs, but only 1 works in each as theres no button for the second (though you can see where the button for it should be/had been there at some point). Just disappointing.

Payment and shipment were both efficient and quick. Some auctions take 30 days before your item is shipped and received. I received my item within a week. Very happy overall.

The item was as described and pictured. I took advantage of in-house shipping, which was perhaps just a tiny bit above market price, but convenient, and I was pushed for time to get it arranged. The item arrived safely. And I confess, I was a little slow making arrangements for shipping, and they were kind and generous working with me to get it done.

I called the auction house in advance to coordinate my pick up of 2 small items. I arrived at the agreed time, but had to wait for 1 hour and 40 minutes to receive my items. Nice enough team and they apologized, but prearranged pickup it isn’t and this wasted an entire morning.

Horrible experience, I will never ever buy from this auction house again!
