After I made the payment, also arranged the shipping company, Sterling retrieved my purchase, giving a reason that the lot (an oil painting) was broken. How can a painting be broken? And when I said I needed a photo to prove and even would not mind receiving the abroken painting, they just simply ignore. How should I file a dispute?

For the amount they charge for a buyers premium, they should have simpler payment options and offer shipping for smaller items. Plus, they did not have accurate information in their terms section. Wouldn’t buy from them again.

reason for being somewhat dissatisfied with payment process. Credit cards are only accepted up to $500. Don't mind if this this is shred with the auction house

The carpet I won was disgusting. It smelled of mold, had mold and was loaded with urine stains and smell. The cleaning facility I bought it to (a reputable oriental rug establishment) told me they would not be able to get the mold out. SO the rug was a total loss. I felt this was very unprofessional.

They failed to mention in their description it was facsimile signed. I should have done my homework on this piece. I got burned. But they should have known better as any legit auction house would. Leo Coffers is another one to watch, they list poster as vintage, yet they repos.

I would suggest to consider introducing "in-house" transport services for a small items, rather than re-direct clients (especially overseas buyers) to a third party deliverers. Thanks, Klaus

This was my First Time experience with a live auction over the internet and a Live eBay sponsored auction, which is where I originally heard about Sterling Associates. I spoke over the phone many times with them and they were extremely helpful. I look forward to dealing with them in the future. This was a great introduction to Live Auctioneers.
