I picked up the paintings, thus my neutral score for the shipping process

The failure to provide proper description of the item, after calling them to insure this was not a photo print-out reproduction glued on panel but a true oil-on-wood painting. They provided incorrect info or did not care to. This lack of attention from them cost me $250, not refundable in shipping and custom broker fee.

Just keep your fees as they are since they are very reasonable compared to a lot of other auction houses. When I see fees like 26 %, there is NO WAY I'm bidding on anything.

I am very impressed with the level of expertise of the entire auction house.

I have a long standing relationship with this auction house, using both Live auctioneers and in person bidding. They are much more truthful, helpful, and cordial than most without misleading descriptions, photos, or repairs of objects. There are no unseen "reserves" or any evidence of shilling up prices. They are geographically far from me but I use them consistently because of these reasons. bill -

My only issue-which does not directly pertain to Burchard-was the high price of the recommended shipper. I ultimately had a relative in Florida pick the item up.

The shipper that they list as their first choice did not answer either 2 voice mails or respond to my emails. The second one was okay, but feel they should not list that shipper as their choice. I have bought many items on Live Auctioneers and this is the first time I have never heard back from a shipper
