Long time to receive
I paid within 2 days, then waited and waited for tracking and shipment, compared to the 4 or 5 other auction houses I deal with, these guys are so slow and kept asking for my address when it was plainly shown on invoice but they kept asking for my address, they never told me that they wanted physical address, so it has been 3 or 4 weeks to deliver, when everyone else takes 2 to 5 days. If I am going to complain I must also tell you that I have never had items packed so carefully. You could have dropped this box from an airplane and the items would have survived, I think it took so long because it took that long to pack and the box was about 24” x 24” x 24”.

Dishonest-Do Not Bid
When I received the ring I had won the shank was split. Cost of repair additional several $$. Had i been aware the ring needed repair i would not have bid as much or not bid at all. Due to the ridiculously high rates of jewelers most will not buy an item requiring repair. There was no mention of damage in description and impossible to determine from the one photo. I was informed that it was not something they included in the description and they did not accept returns due to condition. Dishonesty by omission. This is their policy. An honorable auction house would have stated any damage in the description and posted more than one photo. Do not risk losing your money! There are many other auction houses who are honest and reasonable. They will only ship jewelry in house and charge an exorbitant amount for horrible packing. I received a ring wrapped in a 3 "x3" piece of tissue paper with masking tape. This had a little piece of bubble wrap in a approx 18x14 flimsy FedEx envelope. No matter how much you may want an item they have pass and look elsewhere. Don't support a business whose policies are so dishonest and misleading.

Shipping good, Damage not listed.
Their shipping cost was reasonable, contrary to many of the bad reviews they had about shipping being too high. However they did not describe obvious damage to one item. When I complained, they said I should have asked for a detailed damage report before the auction. Hence be sure you do!

adequate
Items that I won are good Shipping with FedEx was a total nightmare as long as the duties and admin fees I had to pay. I had to go to the FedEx terminal to pick up my items because their systems were down and they couldn't take payment over the phone, brutal, Someone should tell them there is a global pandemic and where I live we are on a stay at home order by the government and health officials. Auction house made their in house shipping sound so elaborate but it was not up to par. Very slow service and the method of payment was also cumbersome. Will never bid with any auction house that uses FedEx again. Steve

Packaging
This was my first win and the experience couldn't have been better. Everything was pleasant and smooth. I was especially impressed with how well the items were packaged. Just superb!

5 Stars all the way!
Phenomenal experience. Items were fantastic and shipping experience was wonderful (and reasonable!!! So many houses are wayyy overcharging as are UPS stores.. crazy!). Nice, reputable auction house with reasonable fees and associations... Glad to recommend!

Great service and wonderful auction to work with.
Mr Jackson himself answered the phone call and he took care of the delivery himself. That speaks volumes in service and concern for him bidder and clients. I cannot say enough about this experience. Was great and yes i will continue to bid and work with him. Remind me of what a family business does.

Shipping, check ahead
Shipping on 13 pieces of paper was $65. Item was sold in one lot and the final price was $80. Do I feel taken advantage of? Yes I do. Will I ever bid at Jackson's again? Absolutely not. Please note the $65 was negotiated or so I attempted from the original invoice of $75 for shipping. Big deal. I've had others mail daggers worth 20x plus that for $25 via live auctions. Learn from my misfortune.

Shipping is non responsive and s. l. o. w.
I bought 1 lot of 4 items on June 23rd, and finally received my items yesterday, August 8th. I'd read reviews and wasn't expecting a miracle, but Jackson's really needs to do something about their shipping department. I emailed them a couple of times, got no response at all, and finally called the billing office. The person I talked to was very pleasant, she checked on my items and told me there were still 80 people ahead of me. The other issue I have is that one of the items was described as iron, but as I examined it, it looked like it had been recently spray painted gold. So as part of my further examination, I checked to see if a magnet would stick and it does not. All in all, I'm a bit disappointed. I might bid with them again, but it will have to be an exceptionally special item to make me go through that waiting game again.

Good Intentions but way too long to ship.
I bought three rugs and some belt buckles. The items did not ship (in house) until 36 days after the auction ended, 29 days after my check posted. I lost a sale of one of the items to a good client due to the delay. I communicated along the way that I had interest in an item and may lose a sale.

Shipping Lags
My check cleared my bank on July 7th. I finally called on July 27th to see when I could expect my item. Finally received my item on August 4th almost one month after payment cleared. Shipping lag is unacceptable.

An auction house that blatantly overcharges for shipping
I was pleased to win an item in their auction A week later I received a bill for over $250 in shipping charges! I researched the shipping fees from the UPS and they were only $91 for an item of the same dimernsions and weight. I told the auction house of my findings and that I would not be contributing to these unreasonable charges. They asserted that they have their own shipping department to carefully handle things. My item was wood and not fragile. They continued to call me asking for payment. Something seems fishy here.

Great In-House Shipping Auctioneer but the Fees Quickly Add Up
On the whole, I am very satisfied with Jackson’s. I really appreciated the fact that they have in house shipping. It was very clear from the package I received (which had glass in frames) that they know their craft well. I even learned a few tips from them on how to do that type of packing better. Actual shipping/handling costs were about what I might pay using an external shipper but with far less hassles and well done. That is a big plus. The 30 % buyer premium is higher than many auction houses. They do not accept credit cards or Paypal, which was surprising. But I understand that would add 3-5 % to their business expenses. The one matter that was unexpected was the $30 USD wire transfer fee for their bank. Not the fee, just the cost. Wire transfers have become commonplace and are very inexpensive for banks to perform, so I am not sure why this fee is so high. Perhaps Jackson’s needs to negotiate better fees with their bank. Covid 19 continues to affect business and deliveries many parts of the country. Time to delivery 3 + weeks. Invoice received June 26/invoice paid June 27/wire transfer processed by bank June 30th (estimated). Shipping info sent to Fedex July 21, parcel received July 24. To help you gauge costs on your bids, my $80 USD winning bid ended up as $248 USD (inclusive of shipping, handling, buyer’s premium, wire transfer (plus a Fedex broker fee here in Canada). All that said I am very happy with the actual item won, and would consider Jacksons ’ again.
