They shipped me the wrong speaking trumpet, when I contacted them they said another local bidder has the one I won. They wouldn't contact that bidder to get the trumpets exchanged as requested and wouldn't address my concerns. They didn't even offer me any money back. The trumpet I recieved had a missing part as well as dent and damage not on the one I won. I didn't get any response that they would help address the issue. I would not do business with them again. If they would have swapped for the proper lot number I would have no issues, however they never even gave me a discount on the auction either because of their mistake. Again, I will not buy from them again.

This was my first online auction. I was bidding on a painting by my grandfather and I live 1500 miles away. Americana Auctions answered all my calls, answered emails, explained the process, the timeline and so much more. They were extremely patient and kind. They even assisted me after the sale. This was an amazing experience! The painting arrived on time and wrapped impeccably well.

I had left a negative, one (1) star, review for this auction house after purchasing a misdescribed work of art at their January 19th 2020 auction. After seeing my review, Americana auctions immediately contacted me and asked for the work to be returned. After their inspection, they acknowledged the error, apologized, and offered to fully reimburse me my complete price paid. They have been very professional, responsive, and exceptionally honest with me. Any prospective bidder at an Americana Auction should feel confident that they can be trusted to stand behind their sales and, from my experience, are dedicated to providing a positive bidding experience. Bottom line, bid with confidence.

Although I was new to the process and working many hours, my painting arrived in a timely manner. Because I had won many items or was bidding on several items, the process seemed confusing in general. This painting however, arrived with minimal hassle and the shipping was easy to figure out.

Most auction houses have insane shipping costs and don’t really help with coordination despite pretty high house premiums. Americana was great-they handled shipment, my piece was packed well and was shipped promptly. And the cost didn’t make my bid “not worth it.”

We bid live and were extremely pleased with our purchase and the follow up. The item was described accurately and the photos were good quality. Buyer’s premium was reasonable as were shipping costs. We are following this auction house and are looking forward to future purchases.

I purchased an early salt glazed 4 gal jug with handle It was beautifully detailed with cobalt floral design of NY manufacture on the face panel. I paid $375 for it plus commission It was clearly obvious that the handle was either of contemporary build or reattached original The glaze had been touched up with paint where it was reattached Sure would have been nice to see photos of that area included in description I will never bid with this auction again!!!!!!

While I liked the item I won-it was not the karat gold described. The auction house seemed terribly overwhelmed and unable to communicate promptly about payment and shipping. One of the contact numbers was useless as no one picked up and the mailbox was full for a week, and I had to email, leave messages and contact through Live Auctioneers to finally get a response. They seem to mean well, but this is a business transaction and I think customers should be able to expect a far more professional transaction.
