I am finding that Auction Houses like Amercana that provide in house shipping for reasonably sized lots... meaning ones that can be shipped USPS or FEDex ground, are much easier to to deal with. Amercana did a particularly fine job, both with the communication, and then the shipping of my lot. The packing was extremely professional, and the price charged for the service was both reasonable and fair. I would like to see more Auction Houses be encouraged to take the responsibility for the shipping of smaller items, and have the fact that they do the shipping highlighted more prominently in the listings. One reason I bring this up, is I have had several negative experiences with the preferred shipper other Auction Houses have recommended. Once with items just tossed into a plastic bag and then dropped into a box without any packing. Antiques and collectibles sometimes need special care and handling, and I think the capabilities of some Pack and Ship employees are not up to the task.

The fountain was not crated properly; rather, the auction house shipped in cardboard. The base was broken in half. I had to take it to a welder to try and repair it and simply put it looks like **********. Very disappointed.

Fast shipment.. though communication questionable they were going on on Vacation...!!!! basically no problems. though packaging damaged.. they shipped no third pty..!!!!!
