The items I purchased are very beautiful and have become favorite items. A mistake was made by my bank in the wiring instructions but the seller was very patient and the problem was solved. Certainly will buy again from them.

This auction was aimed at collectors of vintage and antique jewelry and it did not disappoint. Alma’s offered beautiful antique jewelry. My pieces arrived just as they were described. Each piece I purchased was gorgeous! They were responsive and helpful. I will keep an eye out for future auctions.

Unprofessional and nothing like the experience I had buying from Christies, Doyle, and many other small auction houses in the Unites States. It is September 3 and I still have not received my bracelet which I paid over $10, 000 for. Should have been sent 2 day DHL after receipt of funds. Do not waste your time with these incompetent untrustworthy sellers in Israel.

Fast delivery

Have I known this company was located in Israel I never would've participated in their auction. Shipping costs would just be to which they were. Give me locations were adequate resolving the dispute left a moderate amount to be desired. According to my account payment is still do even though it's been paid for a while back and I have already received the package.

There were numerous additional from Customs, Alma contacted Customs personally and provided all the necessary information timely. Alma has been very professional and reliable throughout this transaction.

i purchased a group of 7 small pipe bowls that fits in one hand from alma for $100-the auction house quoted an additional $185 handling and shipping-several times i asked for alternative shipping options with the only response was that the auction house was too busy to help-i did some extensive due diligence on my own and found someone to pick up the pipes, package them, insure and deliver them to me for $50-alma was simply "too busy" to assist in this-i routinely purchase pipes throughliveauctioneers.com with many different auction houses throughout the world and have never experienced such rude treatment

My expierience with Alma (and of course with Yossi) was completely positive. The whole process from registration until receicving the item was running flawless. The kind service was extraordinary. A highly reliable and recommendable auctineer. Thank you very much for all.

Easy to deal with, and good communications

I dealt with Yarossi at the auction house. He was superb. Yossi answered every question made sure I was absolutely satisfied and happy. I can think of nothing more that they could’ve done to make this a wonderful perfect transaction. I highly recommend them and look forward to doing business with them more in the future

Nice lots, very easy flow to deal with, impeccable packaging and very quick delivery.

1. I asked Alma to provide shipping cost prior to bidding. I quoted the message replied by Alma: “We send our items well packed by EMS insurance   covers   loss only cost is 50 $shipping + 10 $insurance for first item. Any additional item is a additional 10 $to shipping cost.”   2. After I won 2 lots, Alma sent me an invoice to request for US $950 shipping cost. Then I rasied a bidder complaint to Liveauctioneers complaing the unreasonable shipping cost (US $950 for two urns and 6 small cups, size for each urn: 36x17 cm). Unfortunately, the bidder complaint was turned to a dispute filed by Alma forcing me to pay that non-sense shipping cost. 3. The agreement regarding the final shipping cost for US $250 between Alma and me had been mutually reached under the participation of mediator (Liveauctioneers). 4. After I fully paid (Items, premium, 5.8 % unfair PayPal fee, mutually agreed shipping cost US $250), the related shipper sent me a notice notifying me I shall pay the user/clearance fee. I have no idea what it is and don't know how much it will be. My delivery address is a tax free port. There is no import tax for antiques. The courier shipping cost must include all relevant costs incurred including customs clearance fee, cargo unloading fee, parking fee, receiver local delivery cost, etc. I never needed to pay any costs when I received parcels from overseas via courier/post office. I also did not need to pay any extra cost from my last purchase from Alma via EMS post. Thus, I rejected to pay any extra costs. 5. Then I filed a dispute from PayPal. Paypal clearly stated that shipping cost must include any costs of shipping for delivery to door services. Paypal told me that I do not need to pay any extra for shipping. It was because this shipping cost was clearly specified in the PayPal payment notes. PayPal finally judged I won the case. 6. Afterwardss, Alma re-opened the dispute from Liveauctioneers and never send out the parcel as tracked on the tracking system.

I have purchased twice at this auction house and have not received either purchase! This auction house is dishonest. At first I thought there was a simple explanation/mix up, but now I am sure this is just dishonesty on the auction house's part. I bid with this auction house and they kept delaying shipping-because they had many items to ship according to them. And after repeated requests/emails, I honestly lost track of this. Now they say that they shipped the item and it was delivered. I thought that this may have been due to transit problems due to covid etc. BUT, they emailed me with tracking information about the second package. The tracking information then looked like it stalled at customs. So I have been in touch with Fedex, who informed me that the seller never provided the basic information regarding item content etc, just that they were antique. So customs had questions. However when the seller contacted Fedex, they did not provide any information about the contents, but instead have asked that the package be returned to them. So it looks like they "sent the package" and tracking just stops, but that is because they have asked Fedex for a return which generates a new tracking number!!! All without any information provided to me by the auction house. I have taken up the first missing package with my credit card company, and will likely have to do the same with the second. I have also contacted Liveauctioneers about this. I hesitate to purchase internationally, but the auction house looked like it had some interesting items. But clearly this is not a company that is honest and I would not purchase from them again, atleast for shipment to the US.

Always drama with international payments & shipping-Alma was on top of it from beginning to end! And I love the items!!

I bid the starting amount fully aware that it was a retail price, which is fine, but they did not honor the condition stated on the listing. The failed to mention a piece of missing silver and incredibly their response was "we do not see that you requested a condition for this lot". Unbelievable! Why bother posting a condition report if it is inaccurate?? This is the most ridiculous explanation that I heard. If you want to sell for retail prices, then they should be providing a retail buying experience and stand behind the product they sell. I urge you to avoid bidding with them, plenty of great auctions out there.

Although there was some confusion about payment in the beginning, Alma was very upfront about everything and worked out the kinks. Correspondence was quick and questions answered with satisfaction. Merchandise exactly as pictured and described. Shipping and handling couldn't have been better.

A little bit haphazard, but items as described. The auction date shifted rather a number of times, to the point that months later I had in fact forgotten that I had bid on the items, but ultimately they were as described and they made it in the end.

Alma was selling a lot that I discovered was from a relative. I had to have the item. The auction went extremely well. The lot can super fast. The personal contact I had with the auction house getting approved was heartwarming. They are simply marvelous!!!!

The watch is aesthetically in better condition than in the photos and it's very well packed and delivered. However, the watch is ticking unevenly and need a major overhaul which was not mentioned in the condition.

Alma has continued to have auctions with a wide variety of interesting Judaic items. They also do a very efficient job of shipping items from Israel.

I liked the variety of items in the auction. Shipment and payment were very easy, which I appreciated very much.

We were successful bidders on a Bernard Reder bronze sculpture from the 1950s. Alma Auction was very responsive, including payment information, etc. and delivery was very quick to the USA from Israel. Tchiya Nachshon was extremely helpful and responsive given the time difference between Israel and the US. I highly recommend Alma. ​ Auction House in Tel Aviv. It was an excellent experience.
