The item I won was listed as "Needlepoint By First Lady Mrs. Calvin Coolidge". I received the item today and provenance on the back claimed it was needlepoint by someone else based on a pattern Mrs Coolidge had made. VERY MISLEADING TITLE with hard to read provenance on the listing. I was only able to read the full provenance once I received the item. Very disappointing!

These are friendly and responsible people, I've bought through their auctions a number of times and it has always worked well.

Bookcase was described as from an Amish furniture maker when there was a sticker on back of piece that states “Made in China”. What auction gallery is open only until 1:00 pm the first business day after a weekend auction? Transport shipper arrived after 1:00 pm to find a bookcase secretary sitting on the loading dock. But, the auctioneer put out the wrong piece. It was later returned after the transport company had traveled an hour. Fortunately there was someone inside the gallery to correct the mistake. I had the transport company more for the shipping because of the auctioneer’s mistake.

Had a problem that was quickly resolved. Will definitely buy from again.

First, ignore what the Shipping Saint tells you. Contact Shelly at shipping@ costea by email. Helps her keep on top of things. BUT, without asking, Shelly packs prints as if they were a Van Gogh headed to the Museum of Modern Art. This print was important to me for a number of reasons and I was shocked at how well it was packed. And I have been shipping marine navigational instruments around the world for 40 years. Secure and very neatly done. THANKS Shelly!!
