The Easter Showcase: Art, Gold & Antiquities
Smalls Auctions presents its Easter Fortnight Sale, an expanded 500-lot auction running across two weeks and showcasing one of the most diverse catalogues of the year. Spanning fine art, jewellery, vintage posters, coins, and antiquities, the sale is anchored by Albrecht Dürer’s Virgin and Child with the Monkey (c.1498), a masterful engraving that highlights the artist’s technical brilliance and symbolic depth. Complementing this is Roy Lichtenstein’s I Love Liberty (1982), reflecting the sale’s breadth from Renaissance to modern pop art. Jewellery is a major feature, with many fresh-to-market pieces offered near spot price, including an 18ct gold diamond daisy ring, ruby and diamond bow brooch, and a selection of diamond necklaces, gold chains, and bracelets combining wearable appeal with intrinsic value. Film memorabilia is well represented, with near-mint posters such as The Beatles: Eight Days a Week, Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, alongside lobby card sets from classic cinema. Numismatic highlights include a scarce 1915H Australian shilling, a 1912 Florin, and a George I half-guinea dated 1727. The antiquities section offers Etruscan spearheads, Luristan bronze weapons, and medieval arms, presenting collectors with rare objects that carry both historical significance and visual impact.Bidder Reviews for Smalls Auctions (13)

Friendly, helpful Auction House
Bought a lot from Small Auctions recently using the Liveauctioneers web platform. Easy to register and good detail and images provided. Communication with Small Auctions was excellent even though we are on opposite sides of the earth! Posting an packing was easy to arrange and very reasonably costed. Item arrived very quickly after the sale, safely packed and all as described. Very happy to recommend Small Auctions and would hope to deal with them again.
