The sale presents significant works by artists of Modern, Postwar and Contemporary Art. The sale also includes several works by Picasso as well as important drawings and prints by protagonists of the German turn-of-the-century art scene, Max Beckmann, Lovis Corinth, Emil Nolde, Conrad Felixmüller and Max Liebermann. The Contemporary Art selection features rare works by internationally celebrated artists Roy Lichtenstein, David Hockney or Richard Diebenkorn and includes also capital works by East German artists Berhnard Heisig, Wolfgang Mattheuer or Trak Wendisch. Finally, a fresh-to-market collection of over 50 drawings and oil paintings by George Grosz will come under the hammer in the last section of this sale.
