German Art of the 20th Century

This auction of German Impressionist and Expressionist art offers a selection of works by important representatives of both movements. Among them, an early landscape by Otto Modersohn from his years in Düsseldorf, as well as a work of oil on paper that has been mounted on the cover of the September issue of ?Microbes? by Max Ernst. Further highlights include a vintage photograph by Albert Renger-Patzsch, famous as both a photo artist and advocate of New Objectivity, and the little kneeling bronze calf by sculptor Ewald Mataré from 1959. Additionally, collectors will have the chance to acquire paintings by Hans Thoma, Heinrich Nauen, and many more notable names.
