Description
A German silver damascened left-hand dagger, circa 1620Slender, double-edged thrusting blade of diamond section. Both sides with a narrow fuller at the forte and a thumb rest at the ricasso. The obverse with brass inlaid snake mark. The quillons of blackened iron, bent toward the blade, one side ring. Decorated on both sides with slightly raised, silver damascened scrolling leaves. Original grip with four flutes, fine iron wire wrap, and Turk's heads. Blackened pommel with raised, gold damascened décor. Length 38 cm.Condition: II +
