These Important Paintings collection all originated from one prominent collector, spanning from Lot-95 to Lot-160 (Day 1), continuing from Lot-402 to Lot-456 (Day 2).
LOT NOTES:
Kong Xiaoyu (1899 - 1984), formerly known as Xianying, was born in Kongjia Village, Zhuangqiao, Cixi. He initially worked in Shanghai, then went to Hong Kong. In 1951, he returned north to participate in the construction of the mainland. After 1955, he was invited to teach at the Anhui Art School, concurrently served as the vice president of the Anhui Painting Academy, and was elected as a representative of the Anhui Provincial People's Congress. In his later years, he served as professor at Anhui Art School, vice president of Anhui Painting Academy, and deputy to the Provincial People's Congress. He is good at flowers and extensive knowledge, pursues realistic images, and has a loose and elegant style of writing. He also worked hard to develop the ability to memorize and write from memory. From the bronzes of the third generation to the present, he has covered a wide range of figures, feathers, animals, fish and insects, hands and hands. His ancient paintings are known together with Zhang Shanzhe's tigers and Xiong Songquan 's lions. His outstanding expressive power is regarded as the first one after a hundred years, and he is one of the representatives of the " Shanghai School of Painting ".
