From the collection of Dr. Chen Ji (1896-circa 1982).

Chen was professor of paediatrics at St. John's School of Medicine in Shanghai. Dr. Chen brought the collection to the United States in 1965. His son, Chen Lien-ching (1922-2016), who was an architect who immigrated to the U.S. around 1945. Both father and son appreciated classical and contemporary ink paintings and calligraphy.
