A PALE CELADON JADE 'PINE TRUNK' BRUSHPOT, BITONG
18th/19th century
Naturalistically carved as a section of the trunk of a pine tree, with spreading pine branches emerging in relief from the main trunk and the surface carved with knots and whorls.

Condition
There is a 1mm nibble to the exterior edge of the rim and minor abrasions to the foot rim. The overhanging edge of the trunk on the flatter side of the vessel has some small nibbles along the edge. There are natural stress-lines and varied colourations to the jade stone.
