A BLANC-DE-CHINE 'WARRIORS' GROUP AND RARE 'HAWK' WHISTLE
19th century
Comprising: a moulded whistle in the shape of a hawk seizing a mouse with its claw; and a blanc-de-chine group with two standing warriors above a rectangular pedestal, fitted box.
The tallest: 10.8cm (4 1/4in) high (3).

Condition
General signs of rub and wear and minor firing imperfections. Firing cracks and pitting.
Whistle: chip to one of the wing approx. 1.5cm long. Nibbles to the footrim. Restorations around the underside of the wings.
Group: The figure on the back reglued at the feet and possibly other points. Chips to the thumbs. Irregular footrim.
