(1869-1937), Legate, S.G. (1875-1937). Lithograph depicts - Ballerina W.P. Pavlowa (Pavlova I), Imperial Mariinsky Theater. 9,2 x 12,6 in. (23,4 x 31,9 cm).
Brothers Legates, dancers and choreographers Nikolai and Sergei, went down in the history of ballet as the authors of the album 'Russian Ballet in Caricatures', published by them in 1903. The first and only lifetime edition of the work of brothers N. and S. Legat, people of wide artistic interests, dancers, choreographers, teachers, who created an extensive gallery of drawings, portraits, friendly cartoons dedicated to to their colleagues in the troupe.
