A Persian Kulah Khud, Dhal And Bazu-Band Qajar, 19th Century Of steel, the first with domed skull decorated overall with linked crescents lightly gold-damascened with foliage and each centred on a star-shaped cartouche damascened en suite, all against a ground of chiselled flowering foliage, the rim bordered by ovoidal and circular cartouches chiselled with Persian verses retaining traces of silver damascening, fitted with gold-damascened central spike, adjustable nasal with shaped terminals and two plume-holders, all lightly decorated en suite with the skull, and with vandyked camail of butted rings; the second of convex circular form, with four domed bosses and applied brass border, the outer surface decorated en suite with the kulah khud; the last shaped to the forearm and also decorated en suite (wrist-plates missing)(3) 27.5 cm. high, 47 cm. diam. and 30.5 cm.
