Sizes range from approximately 13 ⅛ x 8” to 8 x 5”. Some wear, occasional soiling, creases. Generally very good. Letters include: a letter addressed to Brigadier Lepin, in which Vallée writes on behalf of Mme. Coteau in which he recommends her son for the Legion of Honor; another letter is an endorsement for a promotion of Sgt. Martin. Vallée was a capable commander and administrator, eventually rising to the rank of Marshal of France.
